Art for Social Change
created in 2016 by a 7th grader Stefani Thompson using what seems to be only color pencils and a paper canvas |
In this poster we are shown a metaphor (forgot the actual term), the text states Don't FALL for drugs as we are given a scenario where a person is falling off a cliff into a pile of drugs. There isn't much bright colors except for the bold red for the text as this is a serious situation where things shouldn't be bright.
Research:
What made me research this type of poster was when I was thinking about a community goal for this assignment and I thought about how many students use drugs whether it's for a logical reason or just to do it. The artist was a 7th grader Stefani Thompson who won 1st Place in the 12-14 year old drug awareness division at the county level for the 2016 Knights of Columbus Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Contest.
